To enhance the visibility and management of health-related apps, Google Play introduced in April 2024 a Health Apps declaration.
Apps with health or medical-related features or functionality must attest to this on Play Console.
If your app is in the Health & Fitness or Medical categories on Google Play, or it is declaring health permissions in its manifest, you are required to complete this declaration by May 31, 2024.
After August 31, 2024, all apps (including apps that do not support any health features) will be required to have completed an accurate Health apps declaration that either discloses the health features the app supports or certifies that no health features are offered through the app.
If you fail to complete the declaration form before your assigned deadline, you will be unable to send any changes for review until you have completed and submitted the declaration.
If your app includes any health features, please fill-in the declaration form and upload it to OMA Portal, either when sending a New Release submission request or by creating an Update Store Info request.
